Got off work to find about 3.5" of snow on my car, I probably cleared off 1" this morning before I left for work. Had to wade through the parking lot and clear it off in shoes!( Evidently I'm not too smart) Snow up my pants and wet feet while I went to grocery store to stock up on supplies.
I was given the day off tomorrow! That means I don't have to get up at 3:45AM to get ready for work (and clear off more snow)\o/!
Am in my red M&M thermal pjs trying to get warm now. Maybe hot cocoa (with a shot of Baileys) will help.

*eta: Someone drank all the dark cocoa but I found a packet of white chocolate, normally I would not, but the Baileys made it wonderful.
I feel warmer already. Yeah.

Now,Hi ho Hi ho it's off to work I go....

I am almost speechless.*g*

I still have a job after the 2nd of Jan! I even had to sign a statement that I understood my job ended on the second. ( and especially after taking off two sick days this week) But there I am on the schedule for plenty of hours, not quite as many as I'd like, but enough.
I'm sort of glad, I kinda like working at the "world's largest craft store" and at least I like the people and the work I do.

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes and greetings. I had a beautifully quiet day spent with my grumpy guy, chinese food, lovely snowfall and a kid's play that just blessed my heart. Not a correctly recited line in the whole thing, perfect.**
It was a little sad without Mom but all in all mostly because of you very warm and nice.

Since I've been a little busy with work and trying to get my house decorated and in order (yikes!) for Christmas, I didn't make any musical Christmas cards or post the lighting of the Advent candles this year, so you're stuck with one from last year. One of my favorite Christmas songs anyway, just disregard the misspelled name on the last frame*snerk.

I dragged myself out of bed this morning (weird because yesterday I got up at 3:45AM for work) around 8 and pressed myself a cup of coffee, cleaned up the mess left for me last night by people who forget how to clear up what they get out, put the dishes in the washer, push the button (which made me quite cranky I have to say), go to lj to see what my lovely friends-list have been up to last couple of days and WOW! Snowflake cookies! I'm decorated with snowflake cookies!and Hugs! and lovely holiday wishes! and just knowing someone is out there thinking of me!
You can't know what that means right now. They also match my layout wonderfully!

Why is the snow melting? Tomorrow may be very interesting on the roads if it all freezes as it dropped from 41F to 34F in the last few hours. Can we say driving on an ice rink? The snow woman in the front yard looks very sad too.
Think I'll stay home. We didn't make sales goals this week so I got some time off.

Yes I did. I didn't get yelled at by one customer nor did I get trampled, stomped, shoved or in anyway Folded, Stapled, Spindled or Mutilated.
The perks of working in a craft store as opposed to a department store we get the overflow and people shopping Christmas decor. We had Cricut machines for $69.99! OMG!
Heard lots of horror stories about Target and Best Buy, we had a blizzard, one cashier didn't show, so they stuck me at a register (boo)but only for a while then back on the floor to play with Christmas ornaments and show people around. Off by noon and free till... well tonight anyway.

I've been remiss again.

Browsing through thefulcrum I found a nice wintery layout (with cool little scrolly boxes) that seems to fit my mood (I like it!) and by butchered song lyrics came up with a new title *g* till I think of something better anyway.
But fickle am I as far as layouts go. Next week maybe something else.

from work to tell me I don't have to come in this evening. They're cutting hours due to low sales and I have mine in for this week. But, I know it's not going to happen.*pout*
